Q: Can you please explain to me the DNS1 & DNS2 ? The cpanel video states that the dns will have to be updated by the registrar. Can you please explain exactly how to do this as I have no actual sites up yet and I am looking to get going with TKP.
Could it also be possible to explain the steps to move on with TKP.
A: The use of the terms, DNS, NS1 & NS2 in the video are in reference to the error CPanel displayed when we were attempting to setup a dummy domain.
When registering domain names, the Name Servers can be specified. Each Remote host will have it's own values for Name Server. For the Registrar to know where the domain is hosted, the name servers, wihtin the Registrar record, have to be set the same values as provided by the remote host.
A good next step would be to find remote hosts to publish to. Depending on how many domains you'll have in your mininets, say around 10, you may want to find 5 or 6 geographically diverse web hosts.
